Lulu Speaks – Georgia Aquarium
Interactive Animatronic Experience

Lulu Speaks is an interactive fortune-telling game featured at the Georgia Aquarium, inspired by the nostalgic Zoltar machines of the 80s. A child approaches Jim Henson’s animatronic pelican, Lulu, places their palm on the reader, and watches as Lulu springs to life. Onscreen, a series of playful animations unfold as Lulu “ponders” their future. Finally, an egg cracks open to reveal a personalized fortune paired with an environmental conservation tip.

This project was developed under the unique constraints of the Covid-19 pandemic, which required accelerated timelines and adjustments to the original design. Some planned features were streamlined, and I didn't get access to the fortune portion of the animations, but the team successfully delivered a magical hybrid of animatronics and interactive media that delighted young visitors while promoting ocean stewardship.

My contributions included Storyboarding, 3D asset creation, animation support, and assisting in production coordination between designers and developers to ensure Lulu’s personality came to life.
